Heya friend,
Translational motion is the motion in which an object shifts it's position from one point to another in straight line in same direction Like when we kick a ball, when a bullet is fired from the gun.
Hope it helps...!!!

Hey there,
When a perfectly non-elastic object transverse motion from one point to another then it will be called translation or translatory motion. All the particles or points transverse in the same direction that is the motion of the complete object.
Translation motion contains shifting rectilinear motion and is in straight line but may change direction from time to time.
NOTE:-The time should be Δt and not d(t) since if the particle change direction in interval d(t )then it will not be transversing in rectilinear motion and the path will be curved.
EXAMPLE:-
⇒Bullet fired from a gun
⇒A rocket taking off
⇒A bullet train
⇒Path of car on a straight road
⇒Bullet shot from a gun
⇒A motoboat
In case of 3-dimension, example is-
⇒Motion of projectile before curved fall.
HOPE IT HELPS!!!
