Transpiration is harmful because it lead to Loss of water in the form of water vapour.
Useful aspect: - water absorbed by plant through root wants to reach leaf of plant or upper part of plant (from lowest part of plant i. e. Root) for the process of photosynthesis. And when water from leaf evaporate a suction is created which lead to pull of water from root to the leaf or other green part.
