Answer:

Hi!

Transpiration is a natural phenomenon through which plants lose the excess water.

In other words it can be stated as loss of water in the form of vapor from aerial parts of plant is called transpiration

It is necessary because.,

  1. It helps conduction of water in tall trees
  2. It brings moisture in air and helps in rainfall
  3. It helps in conduction of minerals
  4. It also gives cooling effect to atmosphere
  5. Also help maintain optimum turgidity in plant cells

Transpiration is an evil because it often produces water deficit in plants which check photosynthesis, reduce growth and other processes.

HOPE IT HELPS :)
