transpiration let plant loose water and it can also make them wilt. Still why is it considered important for plant ?​

Hey,

Transpiration is like the necessary evil for the plant. Surely it leads to water loss but it has certain advantages to.

1) it keeps the surface of the leaf cool so that isnt damaged by outside environment

2) it helps in transportation of water from roots to leaves for photosynthesis. This happens becoz of a suction mechanism created by transpiration known as transpirational pull

3) it removes excess water from the plant

4) helps in development of mechanical tissue

5) improves the quality of fruits

Etc.
