Aged animals can be transported, if they are in proper health. Our central Government framed an act called as ‘Transportation of Animal Rules Act’ in the year 1978. This act covers all the rules in transporting the animals from one place to destination through proper modes of transportation.  

According to this, animals should be transported only under healthy condition and should be examined by a verified veterinary specialist for fitness. Newly born, blind, fatigued, diseased, pregnant animals, and the animals who just gave birth should not be transported.
