If we transport p from L.H.S to R.H.S. of an equation , its absolute value will remain unchanged , but its sign must change (from +ve to -ve and from -ve to +ve).
Eg:
x - p = 1
⇒x = 1+p
we see that absolute values of p are equal (|p|=|-p|) but its sign changes from -ve to +ve.
Eg:
x - p = 1
⇒x = 1+p
we see that absolute values of p are equal (|p|=|-p|) but its sign changes from -ve to +ve.
