Given : Trapezium PQRS lies inside the rhombus PQTU.

The area of rhombus is 16,38 m² and area of shaded portion is 8.14 m².

PQ=0.6  and RS-43 cm

To Find :  the area of trapezium

 the height of trapezium

Solution:

Area of rhombus =  16.38    m²

area of  shaded portion = 8.14 m²

Area of trapezium = Area of rhombus - area of  shaded portion

=> Area of trapezium = 16.38 - 8.14

=> Area of trapezium = 8.24   m²

Area of trapezium = (1/2) (PQ + RS) * (height of trapezium )

PQ = 0.6 m  , RS = 43 cm = 0.43

= (1/2)( 0.6 + 0.43) *  (height of trapezium )

=  (1/2)( 1.03) *  (height of trapezium )

(1/2)( 1.03) *  (height of trapezium ) = 8.24

=> height of trapezium = 16

height of trapezium = 16 m
