Area of trapezium = 1/2 (a + b) h  where a and b are the length of the two parallel sides.

Given that area = 193 m² and the two parallel sides are 19m and 24 m:

1/2 (19 + 24) h = 193.5

43h = 387

h = 9 m

Answer: The width is 9 m

parallel sides 19m and 24 m
area=193.5m2
using formula,
area of trapezium=(a+b)h
(19+24)h=193.5
43h=193.5
h=193.5/43
h=9

so,the width of the garden is 9m
