Travelling all alone the poet reaches a point where the road is
divided into two. Now he is in a dilemma which road to take. After a
short indicisiveness he takes one of roads which looks green and
untrodden. The other road seemed to him very much trodden upon. He
thinks that it will make a difference for him. He also thinks that he may
travel the other road sometime later. However he knows that he might
not be able to do so. Later he wishes that he could have taken the other
road. But life has no retakes. He also admits he can never know what
would have happened to him if he had taken the other road.
