As it is given speed of car is 120km/hr, which means it travels 120kms in 1 hr, i.e 120 kms in 60 min. Therefore it moves 2 kms in 1 min. Therefore in 3.5min it travels 3.5×2kms which is 7kms. Therefore it travels 7kms in 3.5 min.

Note:one should consider given conditions for this solution. Car should travel linearly. And it should travel with constant velocity i.e 2kms in 1 min, else this solution may not be correct and in that case we can't find distance covered in 3.5 mins.
