Answer:-

Given:

A vehicle travels a certain distance with a speed of 20 km/hr and some distance with a speed of 30 km/hr at the same time.

Let us assume that,

The vehicle takes t hrs to travel with the speeds 20 km/hr and 30 km/hrs.

We know that,

Distance = speed * time.

Hence,

Distance travelled for the first interval = 20 * t = 20t km.

Distance travelled for the second interval = 30 * t = 30t km.

We know,

Average speed = total distance travelled/total Time taken.

  • total distance travelled = 20t + 30t = 50t km.

  • Total Time taken = t + t = 2t hrs.

Hence,

Average speed of the vehicle = 50t/2t

→ Average speed of the vehicle = 25 km/hr.

Therefore, the average speed of the vehicle is 25 km/hr.

Answer:

let the time be x

so distance will be

1st distance = 20 km/h × x= 20x km

2nd distance = 30km/h× x = 30x km

so average speed will be

= total distance/ total time

= ( 30x + 20x ) / ( x + x )

= 50x / 2x

= 25 km/ph answer
