The most important lesson taught in this poem is that by watching TV , children becomes both mentally and physically weak . There imagination gets destroyed and there presence of mind becomes weaker and weaker.....there mind becomes as a sponge , which can be squeezed easily and there thinking ability gets damaged . He even saw a dozen of eyeballs lying when he visited a house ( it's a imagery) . They don't even notice the things happening around them , TV just destroys them but if this TV is replaced by a set of books then they will start enjoying there life again....
I hope it helps....
