That tool is part of Optimal Workshop’s usability tools permitting you to run card sorts from a computer.  

This has extra profit of being able to run them distantly.  

You can still use this in workshop as long as a large screen or tablet so that everyone can clearly read the cards.

Tree testing is another technique that you can use for confirming your website structure.  

Where tree testing differs from card sorting is that you are testing an remaining framework and asking users to find details to end any work.

Tree testing is a method in which we evaluate the whole structure as per the proposing in the users that are asking about an item with a terminology or keywords on the site.

Hence, the test will eliminate the additional clutter and will only keep the navigation link.

Whereas card sorting is a method in UX that is used for research purpose.
