There are many things that cause the wind to blow.

The basic mechanism is that something causes a pressure difference between two regions of the atmosphere, so the air in the high-pressure area flows into the low-pressure area.

One of the things that can cause a high-pressure area is trees. Trees pull water from the ground and evaporate it from its leaves, a process called transpiration. This has the effect of cooling the air, which makes it denser, which causes higher pressure.

This is a minor effect, though, compared to the power that the Sun can generate over large areas of the planet!
