Hey Buddy...
Answer:
Preparation of 1,2,3-tribromopropane (s-tribromopropane; glyceryl tribromohydrin; glycerol tribromohydrin)
1-liter three-necked flask is fitted with a dropping funnel protected with a calcium chloride tube, a mechanical stirrer, and a thermometer reaching almost to the bottom of the flask. The flask is cooled in a mixture of ice and salt and 132 ml allyl bromide (dried over anhydrous calcium chloride and redistilled collecting the fraction b.p. 69-72° C) and 250 ml of dry carbon tetrachloride are added. 80 ml (255 g) of dry bromine are placed into the dropping funnel and added while stirring at such rate that the temperature does not rise above 0° C.
Hope this helps u dude
