The base of the triangle 1 is the y-axis, whereas, the base of the triangle 2 is the x-axis.

The height of the triangle 1 is measured in accordance with the x-axis, whereas, the height of the triangle 2 is measured in accordance with the y-axis.

Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

Area of triangle 1 = 1/2 × 3 × 4 = 6 units  

Area of triangle 2 = 1/2 × 3 × 4 = 6 units

Area of triangle 1 and triangle 2 remains the same, as the triangle is a right-angled triangle.
