use Pythagoras theorem..

GIVEN :-

triangle has 90° angle

here triangle ABC is right angled

angel C = 90°

(see the adjoining attachment)

AC and BC are equal sides of triangle ABC

value of AC = 9 cm

value of BC = 12 cm

To find :-

value of AB = ?

as we know that ,

AB is hypotenuse .

according to the Pythagorean theorem, we can find the value of AB hypotenuse

✓ Pythagorean theorem =

(sum of square of two sides) = (square of hypotenuse )

==> Pythagoras theorem states that “In a right-angled triangle, the square of the hypotenuse side is equal to the sum of squares of the other two sides“

AB is hypotenuse ,

apply the formula of Pythagorean theorem ,

AB² = AC²+ BC²

AB² = 9²+ 12²

AB² = 81 + 144

AB² = 225

AB = √225

AB = 15 cm

we get , the value of AB hypotenuse = 15cm
