we will use Phythagoras therom :-

(AB)^2 =(BC)^2+(AC)^2

(40)^2=(32)^2+(AC)^2

1600=1024+(AC)^2

1600-1024=(AC)^2

576=(AC)^2

√576=AC

AC=24
