triangle ABC is an equilateral traingle . if AD ia the bisector of angle BAC, using congruence of triangle , show that AD bisects the side BC.

Solution:-
Given:- AD bisected the angle BAC
To Prove:- AD bisects the side BC
Proof:- In triangleABD and triangleACD,
AB=AC (given that the triangle is
equilateral triangle)
angle BAD=angleCAD (given that AD
bisects angleBAC)
and. AD= DA (common )
so, triangleABD conqurent to TriangleACD
(by SAS congruence criteria)
then,AD bisects side BC (by CPCT).
