Answer :

Area of equilateral ∆=16√3

let the sides be a

then

area of equilateral ∆=√3/4a^2

16√3=√3/4a^2

16√3×4÷√3=a^2

64√3/√3=a^2

64=a^2

a=8

area of ∆=1/2×h×b

16√3=1/2×h×8

16√3=4×h

16√3/4=h

4√3=h

area of square formed by altitude=4√3^2

area of sq.=16×3=48
