∵ triangle ABC is  isosceles right triangle.

∴ AC=AB

From Pythagorean Theorem,

In a right triangle, the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides.

From figure,

BC^{2}=AC^{2}+AB^{2}

⇒2AB^{2} =6^{2} (∵AC=AB )

⇒AB^{2} =\frac{36}{2}

⇒AB=\sqrt{18}

∴AB=3\sqrt{2}

So, The value of sides AB is

3\sqrt{2}
