By, using Heron's formula we know:
Area of a triangle is root over of s ( s- a ) ( s- b)( s- c). Where ' s' stands for a+ b+ c whole by 2.
So, here as we know, a= 10 cm.
b= 6 cm.
c= 8 cm.

Therefore, using the formula we will get :
53.665cm2 ( approximately ). Note that here s= 12. [(10+6+8)/2].

So, now by using the formula area of a triangle is 1/2× b× h, we know:
53.66cm2 =1/2 × 10cm× ad
Or, 53.66×2/10cm = ad
Or, 10.733 cm. = ad

Therefore, the correct answer is area is53.665 cm2 and length of ad is 10.733 cm.

Hope that helped you.
