triangle ABC is right angles at A. AD is parallel to BC, AB=6 cm and AC = 8 cm. Find the area of triangle ABC. Also find the length of AD

Answer:

area of ABC= 1/2(base)(perpendicular)

= 1/2(6)(8)

=24cm²

AD²=BC ²= AB²+AC²

= 6²+8²

=36+64

=100

AD²=10²

AD=10
