Answer:

at point c there is right angle .

so,ac^2+bc^2=ab^2

ab^2=25+144

ab^2=169

ab=√169

ab=13cm

hope it helps u dear☺️☺️☺️

Answer:

AB = 13cm

GIVEN:-

∆ ABC is a right angled triangle at C

/_ C = 90°

AC = 5cm

BC = 12cm

TO FIND:-

l(AB) = ?

SOLUTION:-

∆ABC is right angled (given)

Therefore,By Pythagoras theorem

 {(hyp.)}^{2}   =   {(side \: 1)}^{2}  +  {(side \: 2)}^{2}

 {(AB)}^{2}  =  {(AC)}^{2} +   {( BC )}^{2}

 {(AB )}^{2}  =  {(5)}^{2}  +  {(12)}^{2}

 {(AB)}^{2}  = 25 + 144 \\  = \: 169

AB =  \sqrt{169}

AB = 13cm
