Triangle abc is similar to triangle pqr. bc = 8cm and qr= 6cm.find the ratioes of their area

Given :- ∆ABC ~ ∆PQR

BC = 8cm and QR = 6 cm

Solution :-

• Ratio of the area of similar ∆'s is equal to the ratio of the square of the corresponding side.

area of ∆ABC/ area of ∆PQR = BC²/QR²

area of ∆ABC/ area of ∆PQR = 8²/6²

area of ∆ABC/ area of ∆PQR = 64/36

area of ∆ABC/ area of ∆PQR = 16/9
