acc. to Pythagoras theorem:

(AC)²=(AB)²+(BC)²

where given that

AC=10 and AB =8

now putting the value in above equation

(10)²=(8)²+(BC)²

100=64+(BC)²

100-64= (BC)²

36=(BC)²

taking root on both side,we get

√36=√(BC)²

6=BC
