Given :- Triangle ABO similar to triangle DCO .If AB = 6, CD = 3, AO = 4. Find DO ?
Solution :-
given that,
→ ∆ABO ~ ∆DCO .
we know that, when two ∆'s are similar,
- Three pairs of corresponding sides are proportional.
so,
→ AB/DC = BO/CO = AO/DO
then,
→ AB/DC = AO/DO
putting given values we get,
→ 6/3 = 4/DO
→ 2/1 = 4/DO
→ 2DO = 4
→ DO = 2 (Ans.)
