Triangle law of vector:
To find the sum of A vector and B vector,we place vector B such that its tail touches the head of vector A then by joining line from tail of vector A to the head of vctor B will give the resultant.

Parallelogram law of vector:
To find the sum of A vector and B vector ,we add the tails of both vectors then we draw a line from the head of A vector parallel to B vector and another line draw from head of B vector parallel to A vector to complete the parallelogram. Now the diagonal PR (if PQRS is parallelogram) give the resultant vector.

If any two vectors acting at a point are represented in magnitude and direction by the two adjacent sides of a parallelogram that is drawn from a point, then the resultant of the two vectors are represented by magnitude and the direction of the diagonal of the parallelogram dream from the same point.

So resultant of vectors A and B = √A²+B²+2ABcos a

And if the resultant R of the vector subtends an angle C with vector A ,then

Tan C =B sin a/A+B cos a
