Here's ur answer....

ar(tri. DEF) / ar(tri.ABC) = DE^2 / AB^2

Since,
Tri. DEF ~ Tri. ABC
= 44 / ar(ABC) = [ 2 / 3 ]^2
= ar (ABC). = 44 × 9 / 4

So,
ar (ABC) = 99cm^2.
