Triangle PQR is a right angled at vertex R. Calculate the length of side
PR, if PQ=25 cm and QR = 20 cm.*​

By using Pythagoras theorem.

H*2=B*2+P*2

PQ*2= QR*2 + PR*2

25*2 = 20*2 + PR*2

625= 400 + PR*2

625-400=PR*2

225=PR*2

PR = underoot 225

PR = 15 cm.

∆PQR,<R=90°

by Pythogorus theorem,

PQ^2 = PR^2 + QR^2

25^2 = PR^2+ 20^2

625= PR^2+ 400

PR^2=625-400

PR^2=225

PR =√225

PR = 15 cm
