LM = LN

then:

angle LMN = angle LNM( in isosceles triangle opposite sides are equal)

but:

angle LNM is linear to angle LNR

hence

angle LNR + angle LNM = 180°(linear pair)

given angle LNR = 110°

LNR + LNM = 180°

110° + LNM = 180°

LNM = 180°-110°

angle LNM = 70°

since angle LNM = angle LMN

angle LMN = 70°

in triangle LMN

angle (LMN + LNM + MLN) = 180°

70° + 70° + MLN = 180°

140° + MLN = 180°

MLN = 180°-140°

there fore angle MLN = 40°
