Step-by-step explanation:

Given info : motion of particle is given as s_x=t^2+t+4s

x

=t

2

+t+4 m and s_y=4ts

y

=4t m.

To find : angle made by displacement with the X - axis at t = 3 sec

Solution : at t = 3 sec,

displacement of particle along x - axis is x = (3)² + (3) + 4 = 9 + 3 + 4 = 16 m

displacement of particle along y - axis is y = 4(3) = 12 m

so, displacement of particle at t = 3 sec is (16 i + 12 j) m.

Angle made by displacement with x - axis = tan¯¹ (y/x) = tan¯¹ (16/12)

= Tan¯¹(4/3)

Therefore the angle made by displacement with x - axis is tan¯¹(4/3).
