Tropical Deciduous Forests are the most widespread forests of India. They are also called the monsoon forests. Tropical Deciduous Forests thrive where the rainfall is between 70cm. and 200 cm. The trees in these forests shed their leaves for about six to eight weeks in summer. Two distinctive types of deciduous forest are found growing around the world. Temperate deciduous forest biomes are plant communities distributed in North and South America, Asia, Southern slopes of the Himalayas, Europe and for cultivation purposes in Oceania.

AnSwer:

Tropical Deciduous Forest are also known as Monsoon Forests because they are common in the Monsoon areas of the world. These forests are commonly found in India, Myanmar, South China, East Brazil and Central parts of America. These forests thrive in regions where the climate is warm, with distinct wet and dry seasons. Deciduous forests record summer rainfall in the month of June, July, Sights and September ranging between 100-200 cm.

The vegetation in there forests is not as dense as that in the Tropical evergreen forest. The Deciduous Forests have predominantly broad-leafed trees and medium size leaves and they shed their leaves during dry season to conserve moisture.

Trees are medium in height ( 30-40 metres ). Common trees are sal, teak, sandalwood, bamboo, and shisham. Eucalyptus is common in Australia. The animal found in Deciduous forests are lion, tiger, elephant and numerous kinds of reptiles.
