Given that, the mass of truck is 'm' and having force 'f'. The truck loaded with an object equal to the mass of the truck and then driving force is halved.

We have to find the acceleration of the truck.

Force is defined as the product of mass and acceleration. i.e.

F = ma

Since, the mass of the truck is 'm' and the object which is loaded in truck; it's mass is also equal to the mass of truck i.e. 'm'.

So,

Total mass = Mass of truck + Mass of object

= m + m

= 2m

F = 2m × a .............(1st equation)

Also, given that driving force is halved.

F = 1/2 F' ................(2nd equation)

From (1st equation) and (2nd equation) we can say that,

2m × a = 1/2 F'

2(2m × a) = F'

4m × a = F'

a = F'/4m

Therefore, the acceleration becomes one-fourth.

Answer:

Explanation:

Solution :-

Let the final acceleration be a'.

And the initial acceleration be a.

We know that,

F = ma

So,

According to the Question,

F = M × a  ..... (i)

And,

F/2 = 3M × a'  .......(ii)

Divining equation (i) and (ii), we get

⇒ F/F/2 = M/2M × a/a'

⇒ 2 = 1/2 × a/a'

⇒ a' = a/4

Hence, the acceleration becomes One-Fourth.
