True democracy Is when no one goes to bed hungry:

True democracy is when each individual in the society gets basic facilities including food, clothing and shelter and dignity of people.

The democratic society is one that is ruled by the people for their benefits and aspirations.  

The earlier governance was authoritarian in whose rule the law or the words of King is final.

However, in a democracy the people have the right to question the law. But democracy if fails to satisfy the hunger of people then it is baseless.
