Explanation:

it is are v = u + at; s = ut + (1/2) at² and v² = u² + 2as

hence

False:

As we know that third equation of motion is  V2 - U2 = 2as.

So that it is false; the third equation of motion is V2=U2-2as.

We can derive the equation as;

s= ut+1/2 at²

v= u+at

so,

at=v-u

t=(v-u)/a

Now put the value of t in the second equation

S = ut + 1/2at2

2aS = 2u(v − u) + (v − u)2

2aS = 2uv − 2u2 + v2 − 2uv + u2

2aS = v2 − u2

Hence

v2 = u2 + 2aS
