Gases are hard to compress. This statement is false as gases are really easy to compress.
It is due to the fact that molecules and atoms in the gas are free flowing and have relatively larger spaces between them if compared to solids or gases.
So it can take form of any container unless and until you have blocked all its ways to escape.
So when a gas is compressed, all its molecules come together.
For example : LPG or CNG
