First, let's see what we have in hand -

There is a mirror and two individuals, named A and B. The question asks whether the statement  - 'In a mirror, if A is able to see B, B also can see A.' - is true or not.

It is a known fact that any person who stands in front of a mirror will be able to see him/her self as well as other people and things right beside them. This happens due to the reflection of light. Similarly, we can say that A and B can see each other in the mirror reflection, if only they are standing next to each other or in close proximity.

Ans) TRUE

This statement is fasle.

Explanation:

  • A large mirror can see distant objects clearly.
  • The question statement says that there are two persons A and B and if A  is able to see B, would B also be able to see A?
  • The answer is no.
  • The mirror focuses on the light coming from a large distance therefore if a person is standing near the mirror he can see person B from a large distance but if person B is at a far point then he can not see person A.
  • This is only possible if both A and B are standing in aline.
