lemon juice has a ph falling in 2 and 3 which makes it acidic. lemon contains citric acid in it

On the pH scale, water has the pH of 7 that is neutral and lemon extract pH ranges about 2-3 that is acidic in nature.

Solution:

Lemon extract is acidic because it has a citric acid. When water with a higher pH is added to it, lemon water also becomes acidic because the water’s pH gets reduced from 7 and any solution below 7 on pH scale is considered as acidic. However, when lemon water is ingested, the body absorbs the citric acid and leaves the lemon water alkaline.
