Given: Given expression is

(x + y)(x - y) =  {x}^{2}  -  {y}^{2}

To find: We have to find if it is true or not.

Solution:

The given expression has a multiplication between (x+y) (x-y).

We have to prove that the result of multiplication is x^2-y^2.

Multiplying (x+y) (x-y) we get-

(x + y)(x - y) \\  =  {x}^{2}  + xy - xy  -  {y}^{2}  \\  =  {x}^{2}  -  {y}^{2}

So, the above expression is true.
