truss is a structure that consists of members organised
into connected triangles so that the overall assembly
behaves as a single object. Trusses are most commonly used
in bridges, roofs and towers.
Consider the line diagram of truss shown above and find the answers to the following questions:
27. What is the length a ?

Solution :-
(i)
→ cos 60° = B/H
→ 1/2 = 10/a
→ a = 20 m (b)
(ii)
→ tan 60° = P/B
→ √3 = b/10
→ b = 10√3
→ b = 10 * 1.732
→ b = 17.32 m (d)
(iii)
→ tan 60° = P/B
→ √3 = c/b
→ √3 = c/10√3
→ c = 10√3 * √3
→ c = 30 m (a)
(iv)
→ cos 30° = B/H
→ (√3/2) = c/d
→ (√3/2) = 30/d
→ d = (60/√3)
→ d = 34.6 m (c)

Answer:
Step-by-step explanation:
29. 10√3/c= tan 30°
10√3/c = 1/√3
c=30m
30.cos 30°= c/
√3/2=30/d
d=30×2/√3
d=60/√3
d=60×√3/√3×√3
d=60×√3/3
d=20√3
d=34.6m
