I know exactly how you feel, I have had continuous loss and life changes for past few years. I have tried to back to school with all of it too. If I understand you correctly you are looking at getting around a wifi block... the only way I can see is use a smart phone as a "hot spot" and make sure your pc is setup for wireless which is easy enough, or library`s offer computer access, or if you have a laptop; there are many places that offer free wifi access; starbucks, mc donalds, etc.
