Given:-

Total No. of questions = 24

Solution:-

Let the no. of descriptive questions of 3 marks each = x

Then no. of multiple choice questions of 1 mark each = (24-x)

Total marks in all = 50

=> 3x + 1(24-x) = 50

=> 2x + 24 = 50

=> 2x = 50-24

=> x = 26/2

Hence, x i.e. No. of descriptive questions = 13.
