  1. air around us is a mixture as it is consist of many other gases like Nitrogen etc. and also dust particles.
  2. Water is made up of 2 elements namely oxygen and hydrogen. Two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom combine to give one molecule of water.Water is a compound because compounds are made up of different elements in fixed proportion by mass .Water cannot be separated into its constituents hydrogen and oxygen by physical methods. (ii) Properties of water are entirely different from its constituents hydrogen and and oxygen
  3. homogeneous mixture has uniform composition and don't have any visible separation where as heterogeneous mixture has non uniform composition.
