Try to find the answer to the following questions:-

1. What is the equivalent resistance of the two resistors of 2 ohm and 4 ohm if they are connected series (b) parallel
2. 2. Find the voltage across the two resistors if a battery of 12 V is connected with the resistance of 2 ohm and 4 ohm conned in (a) acted in series.
3. Show the arrangement to connect 3 resistors of 6 ohm each to get equivalent resistance equal to (a) 18 ohm(b) 2 ohm (c) 9 ohm (d)4 ohm

1)\implies(a) R1+R2=>2+4=6 ohm (in series)

(b) 1/R1+1/R2 (in parallel)

=>1/2+1/4

=>(2+1)/4

=>3/4 ohm

2)\implies(i) Potential difference, V = 6 V 1Ohm and 2 Ohm resistors are connected in ... Hence, the voltage across 2 Ohm resistor will be 4 V.

3)\impliesAll in series.

All in parallel

Two in parallel and one in series

Two in series and one in parallel

Hope it helps
