Answer:

(5-x)²__(given)

Using: (a-b)² = a² + b² - 2ab

(5)² + (-x)² - 2 × 5 × x

25 + x² - 10x

So, we can write

x² + 25 - 10x.

Answer:

( 5 - x )^2

As ( a - b )^2 = a^2 - 2ab + b^2

We get,

(5)^2 - 2(5)(x) + (x)^2

25 - 10x + x^2

x^2 - 10x + 25

Now we split the middle terms,

x^2 - 5x - 5x + 25

Take the common one out,

x ( x - 5 )  - 5 ( x - 5 )

( x - 5 )      and      ( x - 5 )

Therefore x = 5
