This is not possible.
Explanation:
- This is because Television and Remote operate on the principle of Infrared Radiations.
- Infrared Radiations are the radiations of electromagnetic nature and have a wavelength that is longer than that of visible light. Hence, it is not visible.
- The wavelength is is in 700 nanometer to 1 millimeter range.
- Infrared radiations are released from objects in which thermal vibration occurs.
- Electromagnetic radiations travel in straight lines and they cannot bend.
- Pressing a button on the remote in front of the television generates an infrared radiation which travels in straight line to the sensor located in the front of the television. The sensor recognise the signal and switches the television on.
- When the remote button is pressed behind the television the infrared radiations cannot travel to the sensor, as they cannot bend. The sensor do not get the the radiation and the television fails to switch on.
