Let p(t) = t² - 8

i ) Finding the zeroes :

Let p(t) = 0

=> t² -8 = 0

=> t² = 8

=> t = ±√8

=> t = ±2√2

Therefore ,

-2√2 , 2√2 are two zeroes

of p(t).

ii ) Verification :

Compare t² - 8 with at²+bt+c

we get

a = 1 , b = 0, c = -8

iii )Sum of the zeroes

= -2√2 + 2√2

= 0

= - b/a

iv) Product of the zeroes

= (-2√2)(2√2)

= -8
