Earthquakes are the shaking of the earth's surface due to the movement of the tectonic plates. Earthquakes happen on land. Tsunamis are called as the earthquakes of the sea or ocean. as in tsunamis the sea bed shakes causing huge tides. So earthquakes and tsunamis are related. The only difference is that earthquakes happens on land and tsunamis happen in seas/oceans.
