tthe denominator of a rational no. is greater than its numerator by 5. if the no. is increased by 8 and the denominator is decreased by 1 , the new no. becomes 5/3 find the original no. ​

3(x+8)=5(x+5-1)
3x+24=5x+25-5
3x-5x=25-5-24
-2x=-4
2x=4
X=4/2
X=2
Then the numerator is 2 and the denominator is 2+5=7
